About the Art
The natural world is full of inspiration and wonders, and there is no greater reward than sharing this knowledge with others through a creative medium. Improving nature literacy ensures that we continue conservation goals and protect the taonga from sea to summit. Every creature, plant and landscape should be celebrated for its unique and special contribution it brings to the kaleidoscope of the natural world.
About the Artist
Originally from Whangārei, Annemieke grew up surrounded by nature and the outdoors. She has always been creative, and her main medium is water-colour and linework.
As a passionate conservationist by day, Annemieke uses her art as a platform to stir interest and present information about the native species she works with. More recently this has extended to creating nature-themed board games. She is also an active conservation volunteer.

News and Updates
As of December 2025, Hexono production is on hold. I'm hoping to resume creation in mid-2026.
I'm developing a new card game, based on the Kākerōri bird from Rarotonga! You can learn more about the bird here. I'll post about my new card game once it's available for purchase.
